Rabbit Anti-Human LIF
Slide this table
|Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.
|Stability and Storage
|The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 2 years at -20°C. After sterile reconstitution the antibody is stable at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least 6 months when stored at -20°C. Addition of a carrier protein or 50% glycerol is recommended for frozen aliquots.
|Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure recombinant human Leukemina Inhibitory Factor (LIF) [Ser23 – Phe202; produced in E. coli]. Anti-human LIF was purified by affinity chromatography with immobilized Protein A.
|Recombinant human LIF (RT #200-008)
|LIF; CDF; DIA; HILDA; MLPLI
|Leukemia Inhibitory Factor also called LIF is a lymphoid factor that promotes long-term maintenance of embryonic stem cells by suppressing spontaneous differentiation. Leukemia Inhibitory Factor has several functions such as cholinergic neuron differentiation, control of stem cell pluripotency, bone & fat metabolism, mitogenesis of factor dependent cell lines & promotion of megakaryocyte production in vivo. Human and mouse LIF exhibit a 78% identity in its amino acid sequence. Human LIF is as active on human cells as is it is on mouse cells, though mouse LIF is about 1000 fold less active on human cells, than human LIF.
