Rat Anti-Mouse LBP
Slide this table
|Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute the antibody with 500 µl sterile PBS and the final concentration is 200 µg/ml.
|Stability and Storage
|Lyophilized samples are stable for 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Reconstituted antibody can be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20°C for at least six months without detectable loss of activity.
|This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a rat immunized with recombinant mouse LBP). The IgG fraction of culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and lyophilized.
|Recombinant mouse LBP
|Lipopolysaccharide binding protein; Ly88; Bpifd2
|Murine LBP belongs to the BPI/LBP/Plunc superfamily. The factor is secreted and binds to the lipid A moiety of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a glycolipid present in the outer membrane of all Gram-negative bacteria. LBP acts as an affinity enhancer for CD14, facilitating its association with LPS.
