|Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute the antibody with 500 µl sterile PBS and the final concentration is 200 µg/ml.
|Stability and Storage
|Lyophilized samples are stable for 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Reconstituted antibody can be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20°C for at least six months without detectable loss of activity.
|This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a rat) immunized with mouse recombinant protein of IL-16.

|Interleukin 16 (IL-16), also named lymphocyte chemoattractant factor (LCF), is a 14-17 kDa single chain non-glycosylated polypeptide that was originally identified as a CD8+ T cell-derived chemoattractant for CD4+ cells. The expression of IL-16 precursor mRNA has been detected in various tissues including spleen, thymus, lymph nodes, peripheral leukocytes, bone marrow and cerebellum. In addition to its chemotactic properties, IL-16 has also been shown to suppress HIV-1 replication in vitro.
