Description / human LD78-beta/CCL3L1 protein
LD78-beta is a CC chemokine that is closely related to MIP-1 alpha. It signals through the CCR5 receptor and the beta-chemokine receptor, D6. LD78-beta has been shown to exhibit potent activity in HIV suppression assays. Recombinant human LD78-beta is a 7.7 kDa protein containing 70 amino acid residues, including the four conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.
