mouse BAFF Receptor (hFc-Tag) protein Mouse 100 µg
Description / mouse BAFF Receptor (hFc-Tag) protein
B-cell-activating factor receptor (BAFF-R), also known as Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13C (TNFRSF13C) and CD268 antigen, is a member of the TNFR superfamily. Members of the TNF receptor superfamily (TNFRSF) have crucial roles in both innate and adaptive immunity and in cellular apoptosis. BAFF-R is a type III transmembrane protein that binds with high specificity to BAFF (TNFSF13B) and initiates signalling pathways, which are critical for B cell maturation and survival. BAFF-R is highly expressed in spleen, lymph node, resting and activated B cells, resting CD4+ cells and peripheral blood leukocytes. Abnormally high levels of BAFF-R may contribute to the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases by enhancing the survival of autoreactive B cells. Recombinant Mouse BAFF Receptor (human Fc-Tag) is composed of the extracellular domain of mouse BAFF-R and a C-terminal human Fc-Tag. Recombinant Mouse BAFF Receptor (human Fc-Tag) has a molecular weight of approximately 40-45 kDa and consists of 303 amino acid residues.
