anti-human GAPDH polyclonal antibody Anti-Human 1000 µg
Description / anti-human GAPDH polyclonal antibody
GAPDH (Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) is a catalytic enzyme commonly known to be involved in glycolysis. GAPDH catalyzes the conversion of D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate (G3P) into 3-phospho-D-glyceroyl phosphate and the reverse reaction during gluconeogenesis. Due to its nitrosylase activity, GAPDH is also involved in nuclear processes including transcription, binding RNA, RNA transportation, DNA replication, DNA repair and apoptosis. Being stably and constitutively expressed at high levels in most tissues and cells, GAPDH is considered a housekeeping protein and is therefore widely used as a control for RT-PCR, electrophoresis or Western blot analyses.
