Anti-Human Lyve-1; Protein-A Purified back

Lymphangiogenesis has traditionally been overshadowed by the greater emphasis placed on the blood vascular system (angiogenesis). This is due in part to the lack of identification of lymphangiogenic factors, as well as suitable markers that distinguish blood from lymphatic vascular endothelium.

Recently, novel growth factors, receptors, cell surface proteins, and transcription factors have been found which play a role in the lymphatic endothelium. These are VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGFR-3, LYVE-1, Podoplanin, and Prox-1. Especially the transcription factor Prox-1 and the two transmembrane receptors Podoplanin and LYVE-1 are described as specific markers for lymphatic endothelial cells.

In this respect we are pleased to announce that we have developed a rabbit polyclonal antibody against the extracellular domain of human LYVE-1. The Protein-A purified antibody (Cat# 102-PA50S; Cat# 102-PA50) is working very well on frozen sections [Fig.1], the antigen-affinity purified antibody (Cat# 102-PA50AG) [Fig.2] is working also on
on paraffin embedded sections. The antibody is also working in the FACS analysis with human microvascular endothelial cells (HDMVEC).

The Protein-A purified antibody (Cat# 102-PA50S; Cat# 102-PA50) was also tested in cryo as well as paraffin-embedded section [Fig.3] of human spleen.
